Kali: a hindu goddess re-imagined

Kali is a Hindu goddess often associated as an aspect of the mother goddess Pavarti. Though she looks violent and terrifying her role is often seen as a destroyer of Evil (wikipedia).
This project started as a fun attempt to create a 'modernised' interpretation of a god or goddess, inspired by, of all things, the amoazon Series 'American Gods'. Though i am nt well versed in hindu religion or mythology, i attempted to translate the design into something moder, yet which reatined much of the elements and symbols found in traditional hindu depictions. for example, her garland of severed heads became a necklace with a skull like motif and her golden crown became a woven beanie.
